Race report

HYROX Toronto

Toronto, ONOctober 4, 2026Solo Pro

Official finish

1:25:16

How it went

My first HYROX as a solo Pro, and the one I was most nervous about. Doubles lets you hide a little — you hand the sled over and you get to breathe. Solo Pro, at Pro weights, there is nobody to hand anything to. It is just you and eight stations and the voice in your head doing maths about the run splits.

I went up with the No Limits crew, which made the whole weekend. Racing on your own is a lot less lonely when your people are in the same building losing their minds on the barrier. Got to meet up with Kevin and Henchy up there too — Kevin and I had raced Pro Doubles in Vienna back in February, so closing the year out at the same event was a good way to do it.

1:25:16 on the official clock, and I was genuinely happy with it. Slower than the Vienna doubles time, which is exactly as it should be — in doubles you split the work. This one I did not split with anybody.

The training behind it

A result without the work behind it is just a number. Here is the work.
